Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) — How to Complete In

Here you'll find a step-by-step guide to completing In-Isa Shrine and unlocking the Fuse ability.

Much like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has plenty of Shrine puzzles to discover. The In-Isa Shrine is the second shrine you’ll come across on Great Sky Island. You’ll need to complete this Shrine to progress in the game and unlock the fantastic new Fuse ability, here's how.

First and foremost you’ll need to make your way to the shrine by crafting a boat with the Ultrahand ability learned at the Ukouh Shrine. You’ll find our step-by-step to get to In-Isa Shrine here and a map with its location marked on Great Sky Island above.

Upon entering the In-Isa Shrine you’ll receive the ability to fuse. I learned by accidentally exiting the Shrine that if you try to cut out early, you’ll automatically lose the ability, so make sure to complete the Shrine puzzle to keep the Fuse ability.

After you’ve obtained the Fuse ability, equip the Rusty Claymore that's on the right of the lower platform.

Fuse the Rusty Claymore to one of the boulders on the upper platform by holding L and selecting Fuse from the action wheel. Then, press Y to confirm the fuse.

Use the Boulder Sword to break the stone wall at the back of this room. You’ll now be able to enter the next corridor.

You’ll notice four stone pillars in this area, and they’re the perfect opportunity to swing that quirky Boulder Sword some more. After smashing the pillars, you’ll come across a loot chest to open. I found my chest in the back left corner.

You’ll now need to head to the room next to the water platform. You’ll find a bunch of Fire Fruit trees, collect the Fire Fruit and then head to the end of the platform where you’ll find a bow and arrows.

Equip the bow and fuse the Fire Fruit to your arrows by holding ZR and pressing up on the d-pad. Make sure to select the Fire Fruit from the menu.

You’ll then need to aim for the leaves that are holding a chest high up on the back wall. Shoot a Fire arrow at the leaves, and the chest will fall to the ground.

Go open the chest, and you’ll receive a small key. This key will unlock the door in the main corridor where you found the secret loot chest.

Once you enter the next room you’ll quickly notice an enemy. You have the choice to fight the enemy or run past them. I personally ran past them because I didn't want to risk dying and losing my progress, especially when I have a measly three hearts.

Finally, equip your Boulder Sword and smash the stone wall behind the enemy. Walk up the steps and interact with the green portal to complete the Shrine. You’ll receive a Light of Blessing for completing the puzzle, and of course, the Fuse ability is now permanently available in your action wheel.
